Flexible shifts available, Monday to Friday Pay: £13.50 - £14.50 per hour Blue Arrow Derby are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and hands-on Caretakers to support a variety of schools across Derbyshire. Opportunities available across Derby, Chesterfield, Ilkeston, Belper, Matlock, Swadlincote, Long Eaton and surrounding areas If you're someone who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, loves variety and is ready to get stuck in, we'd love to hear from you! What you'll be doing:
General site maintenance, minor repairs and basic DIY Opening and locking school sites when required Cleaning classrooms, dining areas, changing rooms and hallways to a high standard Litter picking and keeping outdoor areas tidy Setting up and putting away furniture for lessons, assemblies and events Recording deliveries and maintaining stock levels of supplies Fire warden duties, including supporting evacuations when required Supporting lunchtime service and helping to clean up afterwards Assisting external contractors and coordinating maintenance works Carrying out routine compliance and health & safety checks ?

What we're looking for:

Previous caretaker, site supervisor, janitor, facilities or handyperson experience is advantageous but not essential Enhanced Child DBS dated within the last 12 months (or willingness to obtain one - we can help!) Able to lift and move furniture and equipment safely Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude Able to work independently and manage workloads effectively Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment and safe working practices Why Blue Arrow?
