Children's Registered Manager - EBD
Location:

Salary: £50,000-£60,000 per annum + Bonus Scheme
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Children's Registered Manager to lead the launch of a brand-new solo therapeutic children's home in Derby.
This is an exciting opportunity for an established Registered Manager or an ambitious Deputy Manager ready to take the next step in their career. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the home's culture, recruiting and developing your team, and delivering exceptional outcomes for a child with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
With the support of an experienced Senior Leadership Team, clinical professionals and a strong operational infrastructure, you'll have everything you need to establish a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.

The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will:
Lead the Ofsted registration and successful opening of the home.
Recruit, develop and manage a high-performing residential care team.
Create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for the child in placement.
Deliver high-quality, child-centred and trauma-informed care.
Ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements.
Lead safeguarding practices and promote a positive safeguarding culture.
Oversee care planning, risk management and quality assurance processes.
Build positive relationships with local authorities, commissioners, families and partner agencies.
Monitor service performance and drive continuous improvement.
Prepare the home for Ofsted inspections and maintain high standards of compliance.
Support and develop your staff through supervision, training and performance management.
Promote positive outcomes, emotional wellbeing and stability for the child.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within an Ofsted-regulated children's residential setting.
Experience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and complex needs.
Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted inspection frameworks.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
A child-centred, therapeutic and trauma-informed approach to care.
The ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
Essential Requirements
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS check (required upon offer).
Full UK driving licence (preferred).
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
