Overview
Senior Project Manager within the Capital Delivery team responsible for leading the delivery of a portfolio of complex capital projects from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Managing large-scale capital projects from design through to delivery and handover.
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed business objectives, programme timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
- Leading project governance, risk management, forecasting, and reporting activities.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing NEC contracts and commercial performance across project delivery.
- Driving a culture of health, safety, and wellbeing throughout all project activities.
- Supporting the development and mentoring of project management colleagues across the wider team.
- Identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement that deliver value for customers and the business.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced project professional with a proven track record of delivering large-scale engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or construction projects.
You Will Ideally Have- Significant experience managing complex capital projects and programmes.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of NEC contract management.
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and financial controls.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong planning, organisation, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
- APM PMQ, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management qualification.
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related discipline (desirable).
- A full UK driving licence.
