The Executive Vice President of Sales will be responsible for leading and developing the company's UK commercial function
, with overall accountability for revenue generation across sponsorship, exhibition sales, delegate acquisition and key account management activities.

This person will play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance, enhancing sales effectiveness and building a high-performing revenue organisation capable of supporting the company's continued growth ambitions.

The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of leading sizeable sales teams within conferences, exhibitions and events, combining strategic leadership with strong operational execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the UK sales strategy in line with the company's growth objectives.
  • Lead all UK-based commercial and operational teams, ensuring alignment, accountability and consistent performance.
  • Partner with the executive leadership team to identify growth opportunities and optimise commercial performance across the portfolio.
  • Create and embed a high-performance sales culture focused on growth, customer engagement and operational excellence.
  • Lead, coach and develop a commercial organisation of approximately 50 professionals through a team of direct reports.
  • Build leadership capability and succession plans across the sales function.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and accountability frameworks.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and professional development.
Revenue Growth
  • Hold full accountability for delivery of revenue targets across conferences, exhibitions, sponsorship and delegate sales.
  • Drive new business acquisition while maximising client retention, renewal and upselling opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase average contract value, customer lifetime value and overall sales productivity.

  • Significant sales leadership experience within conferences, exhibitions and events sectors.
  • A demonstrable track record of leading large commercial and operational teams and delivering substantial revenue growth.
  • Experience managing multi-million-pound revenue portfolios and complex sales environments.
  • Strong leadership credentials, with the ability to motivate, develop and retain top commercial talent.
  • Excellent strategic, analytical and commercial skills.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities.
