Sewing Machinist Permanent, Full-Time

We are currently recruiting for Sewing Machinists to join a growing and well-established organisation based in Chesterfield. This company specialises in the design, manufacture, and repair of high-quality products and is continuing to expand its production team due to increased demand.

• Salary: £24,186.24 per annum (based on a 38-hour week)

• Flexible working hours available

• Day shifts only

• Monday to Friday working pattern

• 20 days annual leave + Bank Holidays

As a Sewing Machinist, you will play a key role within the production team, ensuring products are manufactured to a high standard and within set timescales. Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating industrial lockstitch and overlock sewing machines

• Manufacturing a wide range of fabric-based products

• Working with various types of fabrics in a fast-paced environment

• Carrying out basic preventative maintenance and routine cleaning of sewing machines

• Organising and preparing materials for production

• Packaging and labelling finished goods accurately

• Supporting the team with additional tasks as reasonably requested by the Line Manager

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience using industrial lockstitch and overlock sewing machines

• Experience working in a fast-paced sewing or manufacturing environment

• A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic

• Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work

• The ability to work well as part of a team
