On behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Skilled CNC Machinist for a 12 month contract based in Derby. This role will be based in the Compressors facility at Rolls-Royce, Derby.

As a CNC Machinist you will be responsible for:

• Work to Client's Technical Instructions to deliver consistent, high quality machining across a variety of different components and product families.
• Operating CNC machines - grinding, milling or turning based on your skillset.
• Operating a variety of measuring equipment, including, micrometres and plug gauges.
• The interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications and understanding programmes.
• The assessment of whether the quality of components produced within the facility meets the required standards.
• Work within a team to effectively to ensure we hit our customer commitments.

What we require from the candidate:

• NVQ Level 3 or time served engineering apprenticeship, with previous experience relevant to the role you are applying for is essential.
• Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, technical instruction and asset care.
• Looking for candidates who are pro-active and patient individuals that are capable of managing their time effectively.
• An individual who is confident to work alone or part of a team and will strive to achieve delivery commitments.
