Our client is a leader in modern, low‑carbon heating and hot water technology, recently investing in a new purpose‑built manufacturing facility in Derby. The state‑of‑the‑art site supports innovation, sustainability, and the growth of local employment, including the creation of up to 200 new roles as demand for low‑carbon heating solutions continues to rise. The facility has also been recognized for its contribution to skills development and clean‑energy production.

Where You'll Make Your Mark

As a Manufacturing Team Leader working across a three‑shift rotating pattern, you will play a key role in ensuring that production operations run safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. In this position, you will:

Lead and develop production teams across three rotating shifts, consistently achieving plan attainment, efficiency targets, and exceptional quality outputs.
Act swiftly to address variances, identify future risks, and ensure continuous production performance.
Use and maintain visual management tools and quality systems to ensure full adherence to Operations Processes.
Foster a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across all manufacturing areas.
Analyse and evaluate business requirements, taking immediate action to eliminate root‑cause issues that impact productivity or quality.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on new product introduction activities, supporting Innovation Processes that bring new ideas into serial production.
Serve as a role model and ambassador for a high‑compliance, safe, and respectful work environment.

What Powers Your Success

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

A relevant management or engineering qualification, or equivalent practical leadership experience within manufacturing.
Proven experience leading teams of five or more people in a production environment, demonstrating strong people‑development and performance leadership skills.
Solid engineering and assembly methods knowledge, strong Health & Safety awareness, and confident application of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
Additional certifications in Health & Safety or continuous improvement methodologies (advantageous, not essential).
A leadership approach that is empathetic, structured, motivating, and rooted in responsibility and respect.
Proficiency using Windows‑based systems, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
