Metal Recycling Weighbridge Operator (Apprentice)to join our busy metal recycling operation and develop a career in recycling. This is an excellent opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while developing the practical and administrative skills needed to support a growing metal recycling facility.
Key
Responsibilities
- Weighing in vehicles and record material movements accurately.
- Achieve a
Level 2 Metal Recycling General Operative
with Weighbridge specialism. - Benefit from ongoing training, support, and career development opportunities.
- Receive pay increases linked to your skills, experience, and responsibilities.
- Be offered the opportunity to undertake a
WAMITAB qualification
to further develop your waste and recycling knowledge. - Grading incoming and outgoing metal materials.
- Producing tickets, weighbridge documentation, and transaction records.
- Carrying out compliance checks and ensure records are completed correctly.
- Building knowledge of metal grades, recycling processes, and authorised materials.
- Communicating confidently with customers, drivers, and site colleagues.
- Supporting the smooth operation of the recycling facility through accurate data entry and administration.

- Basic Maths and English skills (GCSE level or equivalent).
