On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Skilled Inspector (Paint) for a 12 month contract based in Derby.
Job description - the role
As a skilled Inspector (Paint), you will work within a collaborative team environment inspecting a range of shafts before and after the paint spraying process. You'll carry out visual and dimensional inspections, ensuring painted areas meet technical specifications, MDT requirements, and engineering drawings, helping to maintain the highest quality standards across production.
key accountabilities as a Skilled Inspector (Paint):
Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and regulations, maintaining a safe clean and tidy work area.
Accurately interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and manufacturing instructions to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Deliver right-first-time quality by carrying out thorough inspections and identifying any non-conformances.
Work within an integrated team to achieve cell objectives.
Quality check own work and complete relevant documentation accurately.
What we're Looking for in a Skilled Paint Inspector (Paint):
Completed a recognised time-served apprenticeship, including City & Guilds, NVQ3/SVQ3, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline. Original trade papers must be available for review at interview.
A strong understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental standards within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
A proactive team player with strong communication skills and the ability to contribute positively to a collaborative working environment.
