The role As Shift Manager, you will take full responsibility for leading a production shift, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee a team of Line Leaders and Operatives, driving performance across a broad range of operational, safety and people-focused KPIs.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing strong leadership on health, safety and food safety. Driving production performance and achievement of operational plans. Ensuring compliance with customer, technical and quality requirements. Leading workforce planning, recruitment, training and development activities. Conducting gap analysis and implementing development plans to upskill teams. Monitoring key metrics including safety, quality, training compliance, labour availability and service performance. Identifying and implementing improvements in processes, equipment, training and documentation.

Managing, motivating and developing a team to achieve operational excellence. The candidate We are looking for a proven leader from a food manufacturing environment who is passionate about building high-performing teams and driving operational success. You will demonstrate:
Previous experience in a Shift Manager or similar leadership position within food, chemical, pharma or packaging manufacturing. Strong people management skills with a track record of coaching, developing and engaging teams. Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.

Experience of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement. Effective planning, organisation and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, allergen management and hazard analysis. Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. A proactive approach with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a permanent day shift position working 6am - 6pm on a Panama shift pattern.
