Role Overview :

This role is a client-facing position responsible for owning day-to-day relationships, deeply understanding clients’ businesses and ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard. You will plan and manage multi-channel paid media activity (PPC, paid social, programmatic and more), optimise performance against clear objectives, and translate data into actionable recommendations. The role includes budget management, channel planning and close collaboration with SEO, creative and technology teams to bring innovative solutions to clients, particularly across sport and automotive accounts.

There is also scope to mentor junior team members, contributing to team efficiency, capability building and wider departmental growth.

Responsibilities:

Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, building trusted relationships and a deep understanding of their business, objectives and challenges.  Plan, execute and optimise multi-channel campaigns (e.g. PPC, Paid Social, Programmatic) to meet or exceed agreed performance and commercial targets.  Manage and monitor budgets and channel splits, ensuring monthly spend is on track and aligned to overall strategy and client objectives.  

Prepare and lead regular client calls and presentations, clearly communicating performance, insights, recommendations and growth opportunities.  Coordinate and brief internal specialists (e.g. SEO, creative, tech) and external suppliers to deliver high-quality, timely work across all campaigns.  Use project management, automation and AI tools to improve workflows, streamline processes and free up time for strategic, value-adding tasks.  Support, brief and oversee junior team members, providing clear ownership, feedback and coaching to develop their skills and performance.  

Contribute to departmental development by supporting new business activity, strengthening media and tech partnerships, and identifying opportunities to expand client engagements.

About the Candidate:
1.5–2 years’ hands-on experience managing paid media accounts, with a strong track record across PPC, Paid Social and Programmatic, ideally on both performance and brand objectives.  Strong analytical and numerical skills, comfortable working in Excel (including formulas), interpreting data sets and turning insights into clear, actionable recommendations. Confident communicator and presenter, able to engage stakeholders at all levels, lead client calls and deliver clear QBRs and performance updates.  

Highly organised, efficient and detail-focused, with proven ability to prioritise, manage multiple projects and bring structure and efficiency to workflows. Demonstrated experience mentoring or developing junior team members and contributing to smoother, more effective team delivery.  Proactive, curious and commercially minded, actively researching industry developments, spotting opportunities to grow accounts and improve strategies.  Collaborative “people person” who builds strong relationships internally and externally, while showing tact, diplomacy and maturity.
