Position: Lead Veterinary Surgeon - lead and mentor a dedicated team

Are you ready to elevate your veterinary career to the next level? Imagine leading a team in a spacious, standalone practice where your expertise and opinions are truly valued. Located in the picturesque Cheshire, this role offers you the chance to make a significant impact on the care provided to local pets.

Working alongside the practice owner, you will enjoy the benefits of quick decision‑making and complete clinical freedom. This collaborative environment ensures your voice is heard and your professional growth is supported. With a competitive salary of up to £75,000 (DOE, FTE), this role provides not just financial rewards but also the opportunity to mentor junior vets and uphold high clinical standards.

Flexibility is a key advantage of this role. Whether you prefer full‑time or part‑time hours, the practice is willing to accommodate your needs, allowing you to achieve a perfect work‑life balance. Saturday mornings are on a manageable 1 in 4 rota, with no Sunday or out‑of‑hours commitments, giving you ample time to pursue other interests and commitments.

The practice is well‑equipped with state‑of‑the‑art facilities, including digital X‑ray, ultrasound, BP measurement, and in‑house laboratory services. The practice owner brings a wealth of experience in animal care and is keen to support your continuing professional development, including CPD and certificates.

Located in charming Cheshire, surrounded by beautiful countryside and close to Crewe, Sandbach, and Manchester City Centre, excellent transport links make commuting a breeze, whether by car, bus, or train.

The practice team is a close‑knit group of professionals, including three vets, three RVNs, one SVN, and two receptionists. The team enjoys regular outings to foster a strong sense of camaraderie.

This role is ideal for an experienced vet proficient in medicine and surgical procedures, who is eager to lead and mentor a dedicated team. Join this passionate practice and contribute to delivering world‑class clinical care at the heart of the community.
