A Quality Inspector opportunity has arisen within a well-established precision manufacturing business supplying complex components into highly regulated engineering sectors. You'll complete in-process inspection, ensure components meet drawing and inspection requirements, support the internal non-conformance process and assist with the introduction of new products.
Quality Inspector responsibilities include
- Completing in-process inspection in line with engineering drawings, and manufacturing instructions.
Using relevant measuring equipment to verify component conformance.
Raising internal rejects and ensuring containment actions are recorded and communicated.
Supporting Root Cause Analysis activities following non-conformance.
Liaising with Engineering to support the smooth transition of new products through NPI.
Accurately completing job documentation and recording work within the MRP system.
Quality Inspector desirable skills and experience
- Previous Quality Inspector, Mechanical Inspector or Precision Inspector experience.
Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings and inspection plans.
Experience inspecting precision manufactured components using standard measuring equipment.
Knowledge of non-conformance reporting, containment and Root Cause Analysis.
Quality Inspector benefits include
- Salary circa £35,000.
Company performance-related cash bonus scheme.
Working hours of 6:00am-2:30pm Monday to Thursday and 6:00am-10:30am on Fridays.
Overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x.
