Brand new Big Data Developer / Big Data Administrator role with a global software house. The position will work within the Business Intelligence function to implement a big data and analytics platform using technologies such as Kafka, Spark, MongoDB, Cassandra and SQL Server.

• Assess suitability of database technologies for the business.
• Configure Hadoop and other big data ecosystem technologies.
• Design and implement batch data transformations and data workflows.
• Ensure data quality and enterprise readiness of solutions.
• Manage security and governance of big data assets.

• Recognised qualification in Big Data.
• Experience in a similar Big Data Administrator or Developer role.
• Strong database knowledge.
• Experience with streaming and batch data processing.
