Description
As the Transport Manager you will,
Oversee daily transport operations to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance with regulations.
Develop and implement strategies to improve delivery performance and cost-effectiveness.
Manage a team ensuring proper training and performance management. This role is critical member of the SLT and needs to be a visible leader with a continuous drive for excellence
Collaborate with other departments to streamline logistics processes.
Analyse transport data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in the transport & distribution industry.
Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and clients.
Profile
A successful Transport Manager should have:
Proven experience in a similar role supporting a busy retail client base
Comprehensive knowledge of logistics and transport regulations.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to engage and drive a positive performance management culture
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in analysing data and implementing process improvements.
Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
