Are you a skilled relationship manager who excels at keeping clients close and projects running smoothly? Do you have the commercial instinct to lead a team and drive growth through outstanding service rather than cold calling?
Our client is a market-leading UK manufacturer specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke displays for the retail, workplace and education sectors. They create everything under one roof — from first concept through to final installation — collaborating with well-known brands and constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation and creativity.
As they move into an exciting three-year growth phase, they're looking for a Sales & Design Manager who's ready to own it.
The Role
This is not a cold calling or new business development role. It's about nurturing and growing an established client base, managing the full journey from brief to delivery, and leading a talented sales and design team. You'll be the key point of contact for major accounts, ensuring every client feels valued and every project is handled with precision and care. Working closely with the Director, you'll collaborate across departments to keep things running seamlessly.
What You'll Be Doing
Managing and developing client relationships, overseeing costings and quotations, attending client meetings, preparing tenders, running order handovers, leading the design team day-to-day, and reporting on performance — all with a focus on service excellence and commercial results.
What You'll Bring
Proven experience in client relationship management and sales
Strong commercial and financial acumen
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
A data-driven, analytical approach to decision-making
The ability to motivate a team and lead from the front
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and order processing systems
Honesty, integrity, and a proactive, driven attitude
