Location: Breckland District
General Science Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary from January 2026 until December 2026
This is an excellent opportunity for a General Science Teacher to join a school that promotes high standards of teaching and learning. The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their best academically and personally. Staff work collaboratively to create engaging lessons and foster a positive learning culture.
Duties as General Science Teacher:
Deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages without the requirement for planning or marking
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
Create a positive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and confidence
Maintain high standards of behaviour and implement effective classroom management strategies
Support pupils’ progress and engagement through interactive and practical learning activities
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required
Ideal General Science Teacher:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
Previous experience teaching Science in secondary settings
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
