• Deliver engaging and well‑structured Maths lessons in line with pre‑planned materials and curriculum expectations
• Support pupils’ understanding and progress across KS3 and KS4 Maths
• Maintain a positive, well‑managed classroom environment that promotes learning
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different abilities and learning styles
• Follow school behaviour policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards
• Assess pupil work and provide appropriate feedback when required
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and senior leaders
• Represent Step Teachers professionally while working as a Maths Teacher (ECT)

• Qualified Teacher Status, including ECTs completing or recently completing induction
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching Maths
• Confidence managing classrooms and engaging secondary‑aged pupils
• Willingness to work across different schools and adapt quickly to new environments
• A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to supply teaching
