- Deliver engaging and well‑structured Maths lessons in line with pre‑planned materials and curriculum expectations
- Support pupils’ understanding and progress across KS3 and KS4 Maths
- Maintain a positive, well‑managed classroom environment that promotes learning
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different abilities and learning styles
- Follow school behaviour policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards
- Assess pupil work and provide appropriate feedback when required
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and senior leaders
- Represent Step Teachers professionally while working as a Maths Teacher (ECT)
- Qualified Teacher Status, including ECTs completing or recently completing induction
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching Maths
- Confidence managing classrooms and engaging secondary‑aged pupils
- Willingness to work across different schools and adapt quickly to new environments
- A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to supply teaching
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
- A positive attitude towards professional development as a Maths Teacher (ECT)
