• Develop an outstanding careers and employability program that prepares students for life beyond school.
• Embed meaningful careers education across the curriculum.
• Utilize assessment and performance data to identify priorities and raise standards.
• Support and develop high-quality teaching and learning through coaching and professional development.
• Lead on qualification pathways, examinations, and accreditation opportunities.
• Contribute to school improvement planning and strategic decision-making.
• Build strong partnerships with families, employers, colleges, and external agencies.

We seek an inspirational educational leader who combines strategic thinking with a genuine commitment to helping young people thrive. Here's what you'll need:

• Significant teaching and leadership experience within education.
• A proven track record of driving improvement and raising outcomes.
• Strong expertise in assessment, data analysis, and school improvement.
• Experience supporting students with SEND, including SEMH, Autism, and complex needs.
• A sound understanding of EHCPs, the SEND Code of Practice, and inclusive practice.
• The ability to inspire, coach, and develop colleagues.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• The confidence to balance strategic leadership with day-to-day visibility across the school.
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
• QTS (desirable).

Hemlock Stone School opened in March 2026 and caters to up to 66 students, providing a specialist learning environment for young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Complex Needs.
