Mill Operative Days

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Mill Operative working for a well-established and prestigious company based in Shipdham, Norfolk.

This is a full-time position, on an initially temporary basis with the view of going permanent after 12 weeks.

Monday to Friday 06:00 to 16:30. You will work a 50hr week with 8hrs at basic & 2hr a day at overtime rate.

With two 30min breaks, one being paid. Weekend working expected during busy periods.

• Fork truck licence
• Flexibility & Adaptability, with a good working attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment to high health, safety and environmental standards.
• Reliability & punctuality are key to the role being part of such a small team.
• Must have a forklift truck licence (ideally counterbalance).
• Applicants must have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.

• Running packing line using automated and semi-automated machinery.
• Developing your skills into running of more complex tasks such as press operation, this will be discussed via a personal development plan. Full training provided, skills payment once trained.
• Adhere to quality standards in order reach customer quality expectations as dictated by the Quality and Feed Safety system.
• Operating a forklift.
• Manual heavy lifting.
• Provide support and cover for all team members.
• Other labouring & housekeeping duties where required.
• Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
