Customer Delivery Driver Extra

Availability Window

We require you to be available during the following times:

• Sunday: 11:00 – 18:00
• Thursday: 13:00 – 22:00
• Saturday: 08:00 – 19:00

Pay: Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £14.18 an hour, increasing to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

You will be offered a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but we also have options for fewer hours down to a minimum of 12.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the van and trays are clean, tidy and organised.
• Leave the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish, picking up litter as needed.
• Participate in the tray wash process.
• Load the van as required and check roadworthiness.
• Communicate with customers about any changes to their order, including short code items and substitutions, offering refunds as appropriate.
• Treat products and deliveries with care.
• Explain to customers that they will not be charged for substitutions.
• Deliver during customers’ time slots.
• Call the customer before arriving if you are early.
• Call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
• Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit.
• Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues.
• Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change within my store.
• Share ideas with managers and colleagues on how to improve our store for customers.
• Maintain a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic).
• At least 12 months of driving history with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Reliable, physically fit and able to lift goods.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
