A fantastic opportunity for a Part-Qualified / Experienced Accountant to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Derry.

About the Job

Working as part of an experienced and supportive practice team, the successful Accountant will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients while gaining broad exposure across accounts preparation, taxation, audit and client advisory work.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working within practice who wants to continue developing their technical experience, take greater ownership of client relationships and progress their career within a friendly and established firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of accounts forLimited Companies, Sole Traders & Partnerships
• Assisting withAudit Assignments from planning through to completion
• Preparation and submission ofCorporation Tax Returns
• Preparation and submission ofPersonal Tax Returns
• Managing a variedPortfolio of Clients
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients
• Providing generalAccounting & Business Advice
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations

Previous Experience

• Qualified, Part-Qualified ACA / ACCA or Qualified by Experience
• Previous experience within a Small or Medium-Sized Accountancy Practice
• Strong Accounts Preparation experience
• Experience working with Limited Companies and Sole Traders
• Audit experience is desirable
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero or Sage
• Strong communication and client management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
