Individual Specialist Cars requires an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor with proven expertise in prestige vehicle assessment, manufacturer-approved repair methodologies, and multi-stakeholder communication.

You will assess damage on vehicles ranging from Mercedes-Benz to McLaren, Lamborghini, and other supercars worth millions. Every estimate must be technically accurate, compliant with manufacturer specifications, and defensible to insurance engineers, manufacturers, and customers. You are the essential link between customer expectations, insurance authorization, and workshop execution.

Mandatory

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor in a busy bodyshop environment
• Current Audatex Certification (must be up-to-date)
• Full UK Driving Licence

• Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturer repair methodologies across multiple premium brands
• Understanding of advanced materials: aluminium, ultra-high-strength steels, EV/hybrid structures

• Proven ability to produce accurate, defensible estimates
• Professional presentation and stakeholder management capability

• Proven track record of producing estimates that withstand scrutiny from insurance engineers and manufacturers
• Experience working in a manufacturer-approved bodyshop environment (highly valuable)
• Familiarity with high-value vehicle assessment where estimation accuracy has significant financial and reputational consequences

Core Systems Proficiency (Essential):

• Audatex:
  Expert proficiency - this is your primary estimation tool
• EMACS:
  Bodyshop management system for job tracking and workflow
• Manufacturer technical information databases for repair methodology research
• Knowledge of manufacturer repair methodologies across multiple premium brands
• Ability to research and interpret manufacturer technical bulletins and repair procedures
• Understanding of when manufacturer-approved methods are mandatory versus recommended
• Knowledge of structural measurement and alignment requirement
• Aluminium:
  Repair techniques, welding requirements, and separation protocols from steel
• Ultra-high-strength steels:
  Specific heat treatment requirements and replacement protocols
• Bonded and riveted structures:
  Modern joining techniques used in vehicle construction
• Composite materials:
  Carbon fiber and other advanced materials used in supercars

EV and Hybrid Vehicle Knowledge:

• Battery system locations and high-voltage safety procedures
• Structural repair implications for electrified vehicles
• Safe working procedures and manufacturer-specific requirements

IT and Documentation

Skills:

• Efficient use of estimation software and digital systems
• Professional email communication with multiple stakeholders
• Comprehensive documentation for manufacturer audits and insurance requirements
