What You'll Do
  • New Hire Onboarding: Welcome and assist new hires, providing an overview of the training process and expectations.
  • Training Development: Create and refine training programs and materials that cater to various job roles within the warehouse.
  • Procedural Manual Updates: Regularly review and communicate changes to procedural manuals to ensure all employees are informed and compliant with company policies.
  • Competency Testing: Support development and administer tests to verify employee competencies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Safety Training: Conduct safety training, including certifications, to maintain a secure working environment and comply with safety regulations.
  • Train-the-Trainer: Provide training to team members who will serve as trainers, ensuring consistent training practices across all shifts.
  • Training Tools: Update and maintain training tools, including presentations, videos, and other resources to facilitate effective training.
  • Shift Flexibility: Be available and adaptable to accommodate training needs across all shifts, including weekends if necessary.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the Training Supervisor must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill and ability required.

Education/Experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective presentation and training skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in training and development, particularly in a warehouse or logistics setting.
  • Proven knowledge of warehouse operations and associated safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and training software is a plus.
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to changing needs.
  • Certifications in training and development are advantageous.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
