Lecturer in Plumbing

The College is seeking applications for 2 Lecturers in Plumbing to be based in our Springtown Campus, as below: x1 permanent positionx1 fixed-term position until October 2029 The post holder will provide quality teaching and learning opportunities within the specific areas outlined in the post in order to maximise the potential of every student and to undertake non-lecturing duties as appropriate.

• Contribute to the development, organisation and delivery of the Plumbing curriculum across the College leading to the award of various qualifications relating to own specialism/s.
• Attend meetings on matters relating to students, course co-ordination, management, assessment and development.
• Participate in the marketing of and recruitment to courses within the subject/programme area.
• Act as a course manager/co-ordinator.
• Undertake assessor and verifier duties.

• Have at least a Level 3 qualification in the area of Plumbing.
• Have at least a Level 5 qualification in a Construction or Engineering related discipline or be willing to attain a Level 5 qualification in a Construction or Engineering related discipline within 3 years of appointment.
• Have 3 years' post qualifying industrial, professional or teaching experience in the area of Plumbing.
• Have GCSE English (Grade C or higher) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Communication, or any qualifications which are deemed to be equivalent.
• Have GCSE Maths (Grade C or higher) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy, or NICATS Access Maths Modules, or any qualifications which are deemed to be equivalent.
• Have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education or equivalent qualification recognised for teaching in the Northern Ireland FE Sector OR Be currently registered with the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (GTCNI)
