Religious Studies Teacher – Swindon

Pay:
In line with the National Teacher Pay Scale (MPS/UPS, depending on experience)

Are you an ECT or experienced Religious Studies Teacher looking to start a new role for September 2026?

Academics Ltd is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Religious Studies Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Swindon from the beginning of the new academic year. Starting in September allows you to establish strong classroom routines, build positive relationships with students, and make a meaningful impact across the full academic year.

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students to explore ethical, philosophical, and religious topics, develop critical thinking, and understand diverse worldviews while achieving excellent outcomes at KS3 and KS4.

Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies, Philosophy, Theology, or a related subject
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons
Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations and support KS3 curriculum development
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment opportunities
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and academically focused learning environment
