SEN Teaching Assistant

• Is enthusiastic, approachable, friendly and positive.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
• Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Assist with classroom activities and learning resources
• Monitor and record pupil progress
• Promote positive behaviour and independence
• Support pupils with personal care if required
• Has experience of working with and supporting children in a school environment.
• Can work confidently, effectively, flexibly and independently.
• Has knowledge of working with children with special needs in the Primary phase of child development
• Has good literacy, numeracy and communication skills
• Builds positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Shows initiative, creativity and a willingness to go the extra mile.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Has a personal commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Enjoys working as part of a caring and supportive team.
