We provide Building Regulations and CDM consultancy services on a wide variety of construction projects across the UK.
Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for an Assistant Project Manager specialising in Building Safety.
The role is based in Earl Soham, with the flexibility to work from part of the week from home.
You will assist in planning, organising, and overseeing building safety on construction projects. Responsibilities include expediting processes, competency assessments, coordinating with team members, attending design meetings and maintaining accurate records.
This role requires a self-motivated and enthusiastic candidate with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities- Support the Project Management and Technical Surveying team by undertaking key administrative tasks and adhering to defined process flows.
- Assist in the preparation of competitive Fee Proposals.
- Support and facilitate early engagement with the Client, Design Team and Principal Contractor.
- Support the early integration of the Principal Designer (BRPD) role withing the design team.
- Attend Design Team Meetings and relevant workshops.
- Serve as the primary point of contact, facilitating clear, proactive communication with clients, executives, and project teams
- Provide regular, transparent status reports, highlighting progress, issues, and solutions to all stakeholders.
- Providing competent advice to clients, building control bodies and duty holders, within the scope of your knowledge.
- Identifying and reporting conflicts of interest for appropriate action to be taken.
- Assist the BRPD with collecting relevant Pre-construction Information and Designer Competency Information.
- Assist the BRPD with completing Competency and Compliance Trackers in accordance with PAS 8671.
- Ensuring that all project / inspection records etc. are accurately recorded on the company management system in line with Quality Management Systems.
- Efficiently managing projects to ensure compliance with the company QMS, relevant legislation and standards.
- Support the BRPD in implementing the Change Control Process and track design changes.
- Support the Project Management Team with co-ordination task, tracking progress and scheduling meetings
