DMAC Consulting Engineers Ltd is continuing to grow, and we are seeking an experienced Associate / Senior Electrical Engineer to join our expanding Mechanical & Electrical team.
Established in 2018, DMAC Consulting Engineers Ltd is a consulting engineering practice specialising in sustainable, energy-efficient building design. We provide building services consultancy across the Education, Healthcare, Residential, Hospitality and Retail sectors throughout Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the UK.
The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for the design and delivery of electrical building services across a range of projects. This role would suit an experienced electrical engineer with strong technical knowledge, consultancy experience and the ability to manage projects from concept through to completion.
Key responsibilities will include:- Design and delivery of electrical building services systems
- Preparation of detailed electrical engineering designs, calculations and specifications
- Lighting, power, fire alarm, data/communications and life safety systems design
- Coordination with mechanical engineers, architects, contractors and wider design teams
- Attendance at client meetings, design team meetings and site inspections
- Supporting project delivery from concept stage through to handover
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, regulations and client requirements
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers where required
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years’ experience in electrical building services design
- Degree/HND in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience working within a building services consultancy environment
- Strong knowledge of sustainable and low-energy design solutions
- Experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Experience with Revit, Dialux and Amtech would be advantageous
- Excellent communication, organisational and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider design team
- Chartered status, or actively working towards chartership, is preferred
