Chartered Structural Engineer

Project leadership with real autonomy

• Full ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects – leading from design through to completion
• Managing graduate engineers and technicians
• Primary client contact and collaboration with contractors and multi‑disciplinary consultants to deliver exceptional outcomes on time and within budget
• Structural design calculations & drawings
• Project team coordination & resource management
• Client & consultant relationship management
• Site inspections & quality assurance
• Risk identification & mitigation
• Fee forecasting & project invoicing
• Mentoring graduates & junior engineers
• Business development contribution

• Chartered Structural Engineer status
• BEng in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Minimum five years’ post‑graduate experience in a similar environment
• Proven design experience across all common building materials to current codes
• Competent structural assessment of existing buildings
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Full current driving licence (or equivalent access to transport)

• Previous experience at an engineering‑based consultancy
• Experience using Masterseries software
