Are you a compassionate, patient, and dedicated individual with a passion for helping others? Mencap is looking for enthusiastic Waken Night Support Workers to join our amazing team in Derry/Londonderry
, where your role will have a lasting impact on the lives of people with learning disabilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Support people with learning disabilities in their daily lives and routines
- Assist with personal care and medication, including bathing and dressing
- Help with finances and everyday tasks like shopping and bill payments
- Encourage independence and social inclusion by supporting community activities and groups
- Use Positive Behaviour Support strategies to enhance quality of life
- Build trusting, meaningful relationships based on empathy and respect
- A genuine passion for supporting others
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts including evenings
, weekends
, and overnight - A positive, patient, and empathetic attitude
- Willingness to register with NISCC and undergo an enhanced Access NI check
- Clean UK drivers license is required for this role
