NHS Fife is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated pharmacist to join our Medicines Management Team and assist in the delivery of the NHS Fife Medicines Optimisation programme.
As a Senior Pharmacist in Medicines Management you will manage a team of a Pharmacy Technician and three Pharmacy Support Workers on designated projects as part of the Medicines Optimisation programme. You will also be responsible for reviewing the more difficult clinical cases of the project, allowing you to use your clinical skills daily. This team works as part of a wider multidisciplinary team across both primary and secondary areas in NHS Fife.

Through this team you will have a major impact on the Medicines Optimisation Programme in NHS Fife. The programme uses NHS funds efficiently and is underpinned by evidence‑based medicine, benefiting the population of NHS Fife.
You will:- Deliver the Medicines Optimisation projects as part of the NHS Fife Medicines Optimisation plan
- Manage a team of staff to deliver the work as set out with your line manager
- Provide evidence based medicines optimisation
- Support safe, effective and cost‑effective prescribing
Full‑time hours are available (37 h) with part‑time options considered.
