Senior Care Assistant

£14.75 per hour plus company benefits. Full Time Hours – Day Shifts to include alternate weekend working.

Heathland House is a luxurious 66‑bed residential and dementia care home located in Ferndown, Dorset.

We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and reliable Senior Care Assistants to care for our residential and dementia residents. Team members must have a real passion for care, support each other, and promote choice, individuality and independence for residents at all times.

Requirements:

• Experience:
  
  2+ years working with older people and those with dementia; previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant desirable.
• Qualifications:
  
  NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care, knowledge of care legislation including CQC Fundamental Standards.
• Experience in medication administration with relevant qualification, supervisory experience, and ability to mentor care assistants.
• Physical and medical ability to carry out duties; teamwork, self‑motivation, proactive, flexible, adaptable.
• Ability to organise, prioritise workload, work under pressure, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
