Position: Healthcare Assistant Tlnt1_Ni
Location: Derry/Londonderry

Carrik Care is recruiting caring, dependable and compassionate Care Assistants to work in nursing homes across Belfast, Derry/Londonderry, Limavady, Armagh, Omagh and the surrounding areas. You will work as part of the nursing-home team to provide residents with high-quality, person-centred care. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to improve the comfort, dignity and quality of life of older people and other residents requiring care.

MAIN

DUTIES
  • Supporting residents with personal care, washing, dressing and toileting
  • Assisting residents at mealtimes and encouraging adequate food and fluid intake
  • Supporting residents with mobility and repositioning
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Helping residents participate in social and recreational activities
  • Following individual care plans and instructions from nurses and senior staff
  • Accurately recording care and reporting concerns or changes in a residents condition
  • Maintaining residents privacy, dignity, independence and confidentiality
  • Following infection-control, safeguarding and health-and-safety procedures
  • Helping maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • A caring, patient and respectful manner.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, responsible and willing to learn.
  • Ability to follow care plans and workplace procedures.
  • Willingness to complete all required training.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Previous nursing-home or care experience is desirable but not essential.
