Are you interested in developing your knowledge of HR Case Management developing both HR knowledge technical and personal skills to deliver a critical HR service to our business Can you communicate effectively interpret Policy/Guidelines appropriately and work closely with the wider HR function; coach and influence managers and deliver effective outcomes.

Do you want to be part of a collaborative supportive team that is focused on coaching and influencing managers continuing to evolve our HR policies and processes and providing professional employee relations support to line managers employees and HR Business Partners to ensure consistency and to deliver results across the business.

We are looking for a HR Advisor to deliver an outstanding Case Management service to the business ensuring we adhere to Company policies deliver a positive employee experience and coach managers to effectively manage their teams. Your role will involve providing remote support to our colleagues on short-term and long-term absence including Attendance Improvement Occupational Health Referrals virtual home visits medical redeployment General Income Protection and Early Intervention Services capability support (both attendance and performance related) performance management and disciplinary and grievance cases.

You will also provide support with mediation Settlement Agreements and small or one-off redundancy programs.

You will be aligned to a business area and able to forge excellent relationships with HR Business Partners and line managers. Within the team you will also be part of a continued programme to improve operating efficiencies in how we support absence and performance processes.

This role will help you to grow your employee relations expertise HR advisory skillset and develop your resilience professional judgement and team-working. It is a great foundation to progress your career into more senior HR Generalist or Specialist roles.

Your experience:

  • You will have a good knowledge of employment law especially employee relations disciplinary grievance and managing absence and underperformance.
  • You will be able to interpret and clearly explain HR policy.
  • You will have great questioning / investigative skills and be apply your judgement considering the needs of different stakeholders to advise managers on the right course of action for their cases.
  • You will be analytical with the ability to analyse complex situations and provide solutions focused on bringing cases to a conclusion.
  • You will have good awareness of the business environment and understand the commercial impact of the HR advice given.
  • You will be able to influence stakeholders using relevant knowledge policy and experience to back this up.
  • You will have experience of building good working relationships with key stakeholders inside and outside HR
  • And finally you will be resilient when encountering challenging situations.

Reporting directly to the HR Case Advisor Team Lead you will be allocated a business area to work directly with managers as well as regularly liaising with the HR Business Partner. Training coaching and support will be provided to ensure success in this team spends 2 days per week together in the office in Derry (Monday and Thursday) and the rest of the time you can choose to work remotely.
