Data Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with 2+ years of professional experience to build, maintain, and optimise data pipelines and data platforms. You will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and application teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-quality data delivery.

This role is ideal for engineers who have moved beyond entry-level and are confident working with production data systems.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
• Integrate data from multiple sources into centralised data platforms
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability
• Optimise data workflows for performance and scalability
  
  Support data storage solutions such as data warehouses or data lakes
• Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to meet data requirements
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues
• Maintain data documentation and technical workflows
• Follow data security, governance, and compliance best practices

• 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role
• Strong experience with SQL and data querying
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
• Familiarity with relational and/or No
  
  SQL databases
• Experience working with structured and semi-structured data
• Knowledge of data modelling concepts
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or similar)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and collaboration abilities

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Familiarity with data warehouses or analytics platforms
• Exposure to big data or streaming technologies
• Experience with orchestration or scheduling tools
• Understanding of data security and governance principles
