About UsDNO Renewables is a specialist provider of fully managed DNO application and notification services for EV chargers, solar, and heat pump installations. We support over 250 installers across the UK, helping them streamline the DNO process, reduce admin, and speed up approvals through our internal platform and dedicated support team.
OverviewWe are looking for a Technical Account Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the main point of contact for our existing clients, ensuring they receive excellent service, technical guidance, and timely support. You will work closely with the operations team to oversee live DNO applications, troubleshoot issues, and provide solar PV system designs to support client projects.
This is a client-facing role that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary account manager for an assigned portfolio of clients, providing regular updates and support.
- Provide solar PV system designs to clients as part of project support.
- Offer technical assistance on DNO applications (G98, G99, EV & ASHP), helping clients understand requirements and documentation.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure applications are submitted accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Manage client expectations, resolve issues, and escalate technical challenges when necessary.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve client experience and strengthen relationships.
- Deliver onboarding sessions and training for new clients to help them use our systems effectively.
- Monitor client accounts to ensure compliance with DNO requirements and smooth project progression.
- Contribute to internal feedback loops, helping to improve processes and service delivery.
- Previous experience in account management, technical support, or customer success (renewables/energy sector preferred).
- Strong understanding of solar PV design and DNO processes (training provided if required).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to client support.
- Comfortable working closely with operations teams and external stakeholders.
