Salary: £26,403 per annum. 37 hours per week. Working pattern: 05.00am - 09.00am and 14.30pm - 18.00pm (17.30pm on Friday).
RoleThe Governing Body of Brynmenyn Primary School is seeking to appoint a hardworking, organised and reliable Senior Premises Officer to work as part of a friendly, hard-working team. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent self-management skills, a strong awareness of health and safety and have the ability to supervise a team of cleaning staff. We are looking for someone who is committed to the provision of maintenance and security on our school site.
We require someone who is able to build strong professional relationships with staff, parents and children and is dedicated to ensuring that our school is a clean and orderly working environment. The successful candidate will have health and safety responsibilities including maintaining the school building and grounds in a safe condition and working in a safe manner.
- Carry out and record essential periodic health and safety checks and undertake maintenance/DIY as required.
- Carry out maintenance, the supervision of cleaning staff and contribute to the upkeep of the school environment.
- Supervise a team of cleaning staff and work to ensure a clean and orderly working environment.
- Maintain the school building and grounds in a safe condition and work in a safe manner.
- Build strong professional relationships with staff, parents and children.
- Hardworking, organised and reliable with excellent self-management skills.
- Strong awareness of health and safety.
- Ability to supervise a team of cleaning staff.
- Enthusiastic and motivated; willing to be an integral part of a hard-working team and contribute to the ethos and aims of the school.
- Enthusiastic and friendly children who want to make our school the best for everyone.
- The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
- Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
- An Enhanced Disclosure with the Children's Barred List (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
