We are hiring for our client, a specialist advanced manufacturing and automation business delivering bespoke machinery, robotic systems, and engineered solutions to global customers. The Mechanical Technician will play a pivotal role supporting the assembly, installation, maintenance, and optimisation of mechanical and automated production equipment.

This is a varied, hands-on role involving mechanical systems, pneumatics, and automation, ensuring equipment performs at its best. Top 3 Things:

The Role:

Carry out mechanical assembly, installation and commissioning of production equipment Perform maintenance, inspections and repairs on machinery Diagnose and resolve mechanical and pneumatic faults Work from technical drawings, schematics and engineering instructions Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and uptime Assist with integration of mechanical systems alongside electrical and automation teams Maintain accurate maintenance and service records Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards Operate tools and equipment safely within a production environment

The Person :
Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent (3rd level / time-served) Strong mechanical aptitude with exposure to pneumatics/hydraulics Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Experience in fault finding and equipment maintenance Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or automation environment Strong problem-solving and communication skills The Reward:
