Panel Wirer / Electrical Assembly
Location: Derry/Londonderry
Type: Full Time, Permanent
The RoleOur client, a global leader in technology infrastructure and engineering solutions, is seeking experienced Panel Wirers to join their growing assembly team in Campsie. Working within a skilled production environment, you will be responsible for the electrical wiring, testing, and mechanical assembly of LV/MV switch gear and control panels, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and performance.
Reporting to the Production Manager and Supervisors, you will build and test electrical assemblies using engineering drawings, schematics, and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble LV/MV switch gear, control panels, and electromechanical equipment from engineering drawings and schedules.
- Carry out electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, fitting, and component integration.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Perform panel testing, including current injection testing.
- Conduct maintenance, thermal imaging inspections, and site modifications when required.
- Ensure quality workmanship in both factory and customer environments.
- Identify and report faulty, defective, or substandard components.
- Select, measure, and modify components to ensure correct fit.
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment and comply with company procedures.
- Support and mentor team members by sharing technical knowledge and best practice.
- Experience wiring and assembling electrical panels.
- Ability to accurately read and follow electrical schematics.
- Experience troubleshooting and ensuring correct electrical connections.
- Strong mechanical and electromechanical assembly experience.
- Previous onsite installation or field service experience.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience with in LV/MV switch gear manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Additional onsite service or installation experience.
