Production Welder

Fleming-Agri Products is a leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery based in New buildings, Northern Ireland and are currently recruiting for a Production Welder to join our team. The company promotes a value for money product portfolio that is sold extensively throughout the UK, Ireland, and several significant export markets including France, and New Zealand. All manufacturing facilities are sited in New buildings with metal processing and finishing the primary activities.

The Role:

The successful candidate will work as a welder in the production team welding various metal components according to product specifications and engineering drawings. You will operate welding equipment and ensure all welds are completed to a high standard to meet production targets.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. To set up and operate production welding equipment.

2. Efficiently process metal components to a high-quality standard.

3. Have a strong understanding of welding procedures and safety regulations

4. Fully capable of working with jigs, fixtures and hand build fabrications to high standard of accuracy

5. Working knowledge of welding machine settings, gas flows and amperage usage on various materials.

6. Able to fabricate complex metal assemblies from engineering drawings.

7. Maintain high levels of standard, quality, and efficiency throughout your work.

8. Ensure that all Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to in line with the company’s health and safety policy and procedures, and highlight any issues of health and safety to your team leaders immediately.

9. Promote a safe and healthy working environment for all members of staff.

10. Ensure all required PPE is worn and maintained in good condition and report non-conformances to management.

11. Clearly communicate with team leader on all aspects of the job.

12. Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
