THE EMPLOYER IS: JULIE POLLOCK TA CONSULT HRThis is a junior marketing and social media content creator role for someone who is starting out in their career or has a keen interest in a role in this area.
The purpose of the role is to create content, documents etc to promotion Consult HR which is HR Consultancy Business. The role focuses on creating and managing engaging social media, video, email and website content that reflects the company’s brand, supports client communication, and translates HR expertise into clear, accessible marketing materials, while maintaining sensitivity to employment law and regulatory requirements.
- Research and monitor social media trends, hashtags, formats and competitor activity, and make practical recommendations.
- Support the Director and Consultants with social media content ideas, captions and campaigns. Ensure all content is professional, accurate and aligned with employment law sensitivities.
- Video & Visual Content - Edit short-form videos for social media (e.g. Linked In videos, reels, clips). Add captions, subtitles, branding and basic graphics. Use Canva and other editing tools to produce clean, on-brand visuals.
- Email Marketing & Newsletters - Create and distribute client newsletters and email campaigns. Grow and maintain the email mailing list in line with GDPR requirements. Track engagement metrics (open rates, clicks) and suggest improvements.
- Website Support - Update website content (blogs, news updates, service pages). Upload articles, videos and resources. Ensure content is current, accurate and professionally presented.
- Marketing Administration - Maintain a content calendar. Organise digital assets (videos, graphics, templates). Assist with marketing campaigns, events, training promotions and product launches. Provide general administration duties as required.
- GCSE Grade C or above in English.
- Have good written communication skills.
- Have a good understanding of social media.
- Have a genuine interest in developing marketing and social media skills and knowledge.
- Ability to use design and editing tools such as Canva (or willingness and ability to learn quickly).
- Ability to research information and come up with social media and marketing ideas.
- Professional approach with an understanding of confidentiality.
- Can drive and have access to own transport (business premises are quite rural).
- Previous experience in marketing and/or digital marketing.
- Basic video editing skill or experience editing short-form video content for social media.
