Looking for Sous Chef for a new opening Italian Restaurant Osteria Fiorentina in Chelsea. You will work alongside Head Chef to manage daily kitchen activities.
Responsibilities- Overseeing staff
- Aiding with menu preparation
- Ensuring food quality and freshness
- Monitoring ordering and stocking
- Providing meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes
- Excellent culinary skills – strong knowledge of cooking techniques, different cuisines, and food presentation
- Leadership abilities – ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Problem‑solving skills – quickly identifying and resolving issues in the kitchen
- Attention to detail – maintaining high standards for food quality and presentation
- Ability to work under pressure – performing well in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment
- Strong communication skills – clear and concise communication with staff and other departments
- Ability to delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared timely
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations
- Experience with Italian cuisine and similar role
Full time position, salary £42,000 per year, plus bonus scheme and tips. Must have right to work in UK.
