Community Shop Assistant

THE EMPLOYER IS: THE RESOURCE CENTRE DERRYThe Community Shop Assistant supports the day-to-day running of the shop by providing friendly and efficient service to customers. This position is ideal for someone reliable, customer-focused, and keen to contribute to the local community.

• To assist and serve customers, providing a service of the highest standard.
• To assist with processing stock, including sorting, pricing and hanging of donated items.
• To assist with the layout of the stock in an attractive way that will appeal to customers.
• To be involved with the till operation and the handling of cash.
• To promote public understanding of the work Resource Centre Derry delivers and the importance of raising funds through the shop.
• The Resource Centre Derry may assign reasonably related additional duties to individual employees consistent with policy and agreements.

• Willing and able to help people who require assistance.
• Ability to follow instructions well.
• Understands and supports the aims of the organisation.
• Willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to undertake the various requirements of the role.
• Demonstrates commitment (punctual and attends agreed hours).
