Overview
Technical Training Specialist (Heating Systems) at Resideo will deliver technical product training across the Resideo portfolio, with a focus on heating products and hydronic systems. The role supports training across HVAC industry requirements, product applications, and solutions, and engages with technical installers, sales, and internal staff through blended learning.
The position involves working with local Sales and Technical teams to manage training schedules, events, and on-demand requests, and may include on-site technical field support and initial installs as required. The TTS represents the Resideo Academy brand in the UK and is responsible for knowledge transfer and engaging with customers.
Responsibilities- Compile, maintain, and deliver technical training courses for internal and external customers covering heating and hydronic products, applications, systems and industry requirements.
- Maintain awareness of emerging HVAC and hydronic products that impact Resideo’s capacity to support and maximise business opportunities.
- Identify new areas for training development aligned with sales and industry trends.
- Participate in new product testing, evaluations, and launches.
- Provide technical guidance to sales and internal technical teams.
- Provide on-site technical support as an escalation path for installs.
- On-site commissioning/system verification of initial security installs as required.
- Deliver regional training events in collaboration with sales, covering product and industry training.
- Promote Resideo Academy regionally, driving growth and engagement.
- Develop a network of college/school collaborations for technical training.
- Compile and deliver training across the Resideo portfolio for potable water and potentially security systems.
- A dedicated approach to capturing customer training goals and executing plans to meet those goals.
- Experience delivering technical training to industry professionals, ideally in HVAC systems.
- Creation of technical training materials using multiple mediums relevant to audience and objectives.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with multiple stakeholders.
- Good organisational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
- Good IT literacy; intermediate Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and collaboratively.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
- Residency within commutable distance to the training site in Reading.
- Experience in heating/boiler installations
- Experience in customer support or business development
- Understanding of Honeywell Home heating controls
- Knowledge and experience of Smart Homes
