Position: Openstack Cinder & Manila Developer (M/W/D)

We are currently looking for a freelance "Open Stack Cinder & Manila Developer (m/w/d)" for our client in the IT- sector
.

Project Description
  • Open Stack Cinder & Manila Development - Look for direct development experience in Open Stack Cinder & Manila (forks, upstream contributions, bug fixes, feature enhancements).
  • Upstream Contributions - Evidence of commits, patches, or code reviews in Open Stack repositories (Git Hub, Gerrit).

    - Candidates should ideally have a track record of contributing to open-source projects, especially Open Stack-related tools/services.
  • Python Proficiency - Strong Python background (3+ years) with design patterns, async I/O, packaging.

    - Check for hands-on coding in distributed systems or cloud-native environments, not just Scripting.
  • Kubernetes & Helm - Experience deploying services to Kubernetes.

    - Must have Helm chart authoring and CRD/operator development experience.

    - Look for candidates who mention Kubernetes operators, Helm charts, custom resources in their projects.
  • CI/CD & Dev Ops - Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops workflows.

    - Familiarity with Git Hub/Git Lab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge - Strong knowledge of Open Stack internals (not just usage).

    - Exposure to AWS or Azure is a plus, but Open Stack development is the priority.
  • Github Profile link - Personal Git Hub profile link (if available) should be shared during the interview.
