Site Operative

Role Details

Salary: £12.71 per hour plus Veolia benefits.

Hours:

45 hours per week with weekend overtime available.

The Woodlands Centre, IVC, Whitesmith, BN8 6JD

• Operation of a loading shovel, shredding and screening equipment – full training provided.
• Learn how the SCADA works and be trained in its use.
• Operate the weighbridge as and when required.
• Grease the screening line in the mornings.
• Clean the shredding/screening equipment at the end of the day.
• General housekeeping on the site, including regular litter picking.
• Pressure washing and keep wash‑down areas clean.
• Other general site duties as required by the Site Supervisor.

• Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise own workload.
• Health and safety awareness.
• Knowledge of recycling organic waste material.
• Full driving licence.
