This role would start directly with our partner firm as they continue to grow their revenue and headcount. This team is focused on helping their people learn and challenge themselves as much as they choose to in order to help the overall success of the groups around them.
The company recently opened a new role at the senior accountant level after internal promotions and other rotations for internal employees to continue growing with the company.
Senior Accountant
Our partner firm is seeking a Sr. Accountant responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with applicable regulations, accounting standards under GAAP and company policies. This role involves managing the preparation and analysis of financial statements, collaborating with various departments, and staying informed about changes in accounting regulations.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
- Reconciliations of multiple accounts including checking and credit card accounts.
- Review the work product for multiple staff level employees that will report to you on certain projects.
- Work closely with internal departments, including Accounting, Finance, and Legal, to gather necessary information for financial reporting.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and provide insights to senior management.
- Evaluate financial performance and trends to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Maintain documentation of financial processes and procedures.
- Prepare and update accounting policies as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation is often preferred.
- Several years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of relevant financial software and ERP systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while leading a small team.
