Join Our Team as an Orthodontic Assistant at Pearls 4 Kids Dentistry in Des Moines. We create smiles that last a lifetime by making every visit a Kidsperience! We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Orthodontic Assistant who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is committed to providing outstanding care to our children and their caregivers.
Responsibilities- Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
- Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
- Take and develop dental X-rays.
- Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
- Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure smooth patient flow and maintain a kid-friendly environment.
- X-ray and CPR certification is required.
- Minimum 1 year experience in an orthodontic practice is preferred, but we will train the right person.
- Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred.
- Additional certification or training is a plus.
- Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.
- Full-time role (30+ hours per week).
- 8-hour shifts; daytime hours – no nights.
