Neonatologist Position – Pediatrix Medical Group (Des Moines, IA)

. Live and work in a growing metropolitan Midwest community.
- BC/BE Neonatologist to join our team of 4 Neonatologists and 7 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) in Des Moines, IA.
- Provide comprehensive neonatal care at two Mercy One hospital locations.
- Cover 24/7 NICU services, with shifts: M-F Day Shift 10 hours with NNP, M-F Night Shift 14 hours Neonatologist only, Weekends 24 hours Neonatologist only.
- Participate in discharge coordination, transport team, and oversight of NNP coverage.
- Oversee 5 bed Level 2 nursery at Mercy One W. Des Moines Medical Center with 24/7 NNP coverage and morning neonatologist‑only rounds.
- Mercy One Medical Center – 60-bed Level 3 NICU, 42 patient days, full subspecialty support, infant care down to 22 weeks gestation.
- M-F Day Shift 10 hours with NNP.
- M-F Night Shift 14 hours Neonatologist only.
- Weekends 24 hours Neonatologist only.
- Discharge coordinator and social worker round daily with neonatologist.
- NNPs have their own team with neonatology oversight; building toward 24/7 NNP coverage.

Qualifications- Board Certified / Board Eligible Neonatologist.
